Ros Shafinah Binti Sugianto.
In pursuit of this era of globalization, various skills must be mastered by individuals in order to advance their excellence internationally. Have you ever thought about our preparations as a beloved Malaysian citizen to compete with the world community? Is our little achievement able to compete with them? Actually, among the issues highlighted by and our beloved leader, Datuk Seri Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak as the Prime Minister of Malaysia is that we should always strive to introduce the nation in the international arena. Therefore, every individual needs to master English well because this language is the second language used in the most countries. Unfortunately, the majority of rural communities in our country are not fluent in English. These people do not get used to them using English in everyday conversation because English is the second language. Indeed, they realize the mastery of English in the twentieth century is very important because of its many benefits and also importance that we can not be denied. Among the importance of English is many people agree that English is the language of knowledge. This is because there are many sources of reference that have been written in English because Western societies use documentation culture. In this regard, we can explore and share more knowledge with other countries in the world. In addition, to sharing knowledge, we can also gain knowledge through the internet easily in line with technological developments and the world without borders. Students around the world can gain knowledge quickly because information is at the fingertips. For example, in Malaysia now, the Ministry of Education has made the subjects of Science and Mathematics taught in English. If the problem of English domination occurs, then the students will be left behind in the lesson. Therefore, it can not be denied that English should be mastered because English is the language of knowledge. Next is a wide open job opportunity. English is the intermediate language worldwide. So, this English is accepted and used by all countries in the world. This proves that by mastering English, open employment opportunities are not only in our country but also internationally. Furthermore, employment is a necessity especially during the economic downturns of this world. We have been surprised by the rising news of unemployment issues in our country, reaching the figure of 80 000 people. With a sustainable English language proficiency, of course, we will not have the problem of getting a prestigious job especially with the private sector. Likewise, with other professional fields like me, doctor, lawyer, and lecturer. In fact, politicians, the ranks of national leaders, have also emphasized the English language as it is used in conveying speeches to convince the leaders of the world, as well as to be honored in the international arena. So, the use of English is to be accustomed from a little longer. If this language is good for us, then the job opportunity will always be waiting. As a conclusion that I had, English is an intergenerational language that is very important to connect with other nations, both with the local community and with the outside world. Although the Malay language is the official language and national language of the country but English is very important for the progress of the country. The use of English enables the public and the nation to have a wider and easy access to international information. This is indirectly accelerating the development of the country. In addition, progress is only achieved faster if communication in English goes smoothly with developed countries. With this, the excellence of an individual depends on the level of English proficiency. Therefore, English is a very important language in acquiring knowledge, international communication, technology, and business fields.

Nadiathul Kamaliah Binti Zin Azman.
To know the importance of learning English, trying to imagine what the world is there in the next 10 years? Perhaps, some of you have imagine a very rapid era of progress in the next 10 years. English is one of the international languages that many countries use. In some countries, English is the second language for its community, as the role of English as an international language of communication is very important for the various sectors and Malaysia is one of the countries that now makes English as the second language, though not or not all Malaysians will do it. Through English we can introduce the diversity of the culture and language of this nation to those who are curious about this country. Because it's fun! By learning English, you will also learn about other cultures. Few experiences will make you grow as a person more than learning values, habits and way of life in a culture that is different from us. Why is English so important to society? One of them is a good opportunity to get a job. Of course right now, finding the right job is not easy, but if we are able to master the two languages it is a great opportunity for us to get a job. In addition, we will get an international career if our English proficiency is excellent. This is because big companies need more skilled workers in English. For example, meet with clients. Of course we will use this language in the meeting. In addition, it is certain that university graduates will find jobs and they will be interviewed. What can be seen here is that the majority of interviewers will use the English language for sure they want the best. Mastering English can increase value and will be much appreciated in the international working world. Furthermore, the importance of English is able to pursue higher education. Everyone will want to continue their education at a higher level. From childhood we are exposed to English, kindergartens and schools will surely have English language lessons can simplify us. It is not possible if children are now more fond of English because they have been taught from childhood. In other words, learning English means that it helps us to move our feet to a higher level of education. Although learning English can be challenging and time consuming, we can see that it is also very valuable to learn and can create many opportunities. In my opinion, internationally, people need one common language. For many years, English has been the common world-wide language and it will be in the future. For this reason, if you want to follow trends, new gadgets and technology, modernization of the developing world, you have to know English whatever age you are in. Therefore, if you have the basics of English language you can make yourself understood in nearly every corner of the world.

Maisarah Dahiyah Binti Md Ja’far. English is important because English is the international language and other country too . the government think it's an international language so everyone needs to know how to communicate in English. wherever u go, people talk in English. in Canada, India or even in Brazil, wherever it may be, a good conversation in English really helps. Futhermore ,the one reason why English is important because English is the one of the opportunity to get job in Malaysia . by having the ability to speak in two languages, of course this will be an added value to yourself. In addition, we will also be able to get jobs abroad if our English skills are excellent. today we know that leaders in the development of innovation and economic development in the world today are held by two countries, namely China and America .The two countries are of course a key element to stabilize the world economy. Here is the reason why learning the English language. learning English, we should be able to follow and understand the economic growth and the development of innovations in the two countries. Thus, the two countries are using the English language in each of the fields that are indeed a full stake in the development of the world. Moreover, the majority of textbooks and reference materials used by university student at diploma level or degree are English language (except courses that are in Malay, such as Malay history, ethnic relations, and Malay language) besides if further lessons up to master or PHD level. Then , The main web pages such as Facebook Ttwitter, Myspace, Youtube, Google, Yahoo, Bing, Msn, are all using English. We can add the knowledge we get through the information we are looking for on the internet. that's just my own honest opinion of the importance of English language from heart and soul.

Siti Nur Rashida Binti Abdul Rashid. Success in business is often hinged on one single important word- communication and most of it happens in English. The world is flat, the economic migrations of the past decades have become permanent expat communities. Asians, especially, continue to migrate to the United States or to Europe for jobs and live there permanently. Even for those involved in business from their native countries, if they want to sell to a larger market, need to understand the trends and the cultures of those markets. This is often best done through the common currency that is English. Love it or hate it, we simply can’t ignore it. Big businesses call the shots, so if in Germany you do as the Germans do, in the common world market, learn English. In order to get ahead in your chosen field you need to make yourself completely understood by the people you work with. There will be emails there will be telephone conversations, and they are costly! Knowing good English helps you to make your point faster. If you have a website that the whole world can see, you had better have content that is meaningful and accurate and does not embarrass you or harm your business.Even within Indian companies, especially large corporations, the number of employees is too huge for personal, one-on-one communication. Hence the intranet is the notice board and all communications are made through it. Imagine a secretary who didn’t know grammar and punctuation sent out a company wide email – “meeting cancelled because of indisposed”.  Because of whom? Because of indisposed? Is indisposed the name of a person? Another Indian might scoff and laugh at the very poor grammar, or might even get the gist of it, but what about the impression you make on, say, foreign collaborators who receive the same email? And even if we ignore the impression we make, what about the issues that arise from miscommunication? People just don’t know what you mean. Written communication is as important as verbal.Engineers typically are nonchalant about their lack of language skills, saying that they understand their core subjects and that’s enough.  I would say that it is not enough to understand the concepts through insight or genius, you need to communicate that you know. Think interviews and group discussions for job-seekers! You cannot do this without proficiency in a language. And what about presentations? You might have the most brilliant idea in the world, but if you do not know how to get it across, you are lost. I have seen scores of presentations made by students who are too stumped or lazy to formulate simple, brief and attractive sentences in English, which are the backbone of any good presentations. What they do is to simply type into Google, move into relevant or sometimes irrelevant sites, copy a large section of content and simply paste it into their power point slides, without a thought as to how readable or attractive it might be. A little education here (either training through company intranets, or an on-line course, or some self motivated self-education) can go a long way. The employee will not only use better grammar and vocabulary, but will also use logical chunking and sizing of the content, so he only puts as much on a slide as is easy to read and understand. One point per slide, with an example if it is there – this is a good rule. Anything more is actually taking away from your content.

There are many reasons why learning a new language is good idea. It allows you to communicate with new people. It helps you to see things from a different perspective, or get a deeper understanding of another culture. It helps you to become a better listener. It even has health benefits, are studies have shown that people who speak two or more languages have more active minds later in life! Although the English language doesn't have the largest number of native speakers in the world, it has the widest reach of any language spoken today. Both native and second language speakers of English are found on every continent and English has become the Lingua Franca in many fields, including business, politics, science, technology, and entertainment, to name a few. English is the working language of many international organizations, European Union and the language of global advertising. It is also the most used language of the internet, accounting for more than half of all websites. For many people, learning English is a way to get access to a broader range if information, connections and opportunities. Moreover, people who speak English have more job opportunities. Business need employees who can communicate fluently with English speaking partners and clients. In addition, entrepreneurs can access a far wider range of customers online by using English. Being able to speak English makes it easier to travel. Because English is spoken as a first or second language in so many different countries, it is always easy to find English speakers as well as printed information in English, especially at hostels and in areas frequented by tourists. The number of English speakers around the world has been on the rise for many years, with the current number approaching 2 Billion, according to some estimates. The fact that so many people now use English as either a first or second language indicates that English is likely to remain a globally dominant language for many years to come. This is the important of English.

Siti Aminah Binti Sa'im
Learning Foreign Language is very useful for young people today. It is known by everyone that nowadays English is the most common language in the world. For that reason it is extremely important for young people to improve their skills and to learn as much they can this important language. To begin with, speaking English allows you to travel wherever you want without any problems. If you are visiting a place far away probably it might be useful for you to know a little bit of English. For example if you get lost in a stranger country you could ask somebody some information without any problems. Furthermore, having a good knowledge of English could help you to find jobs. In these days is always more common to find business which are looking for a good English speaker. In addition it could be important for you to lear this language if you are interested on studying abroad. Another important point to take in consideration is that knowing foreign languages helps you to make new friends and meet some interesting people. It is becoming really common to find fiscinating social network where you can interact among other people coming from different countries. Apart from this, if you love travelling, the only way to know other culture and new people is talking with them, and how to do without good English knowledge?  To conclude, to my mind learning English is becoming more and more useful for teenagers and people who are interested on meet other cultures. All things considerate I believe that it is very important to improve our English skills if we want to keep up with the times.

Horror is a genre of fiction which is intended to, or has the capacity to frighten, scare, disgust, or startle its readers or viewers by inducing feelings of horror and terror Literary historian J. A. Cuddon has defined the horror story as "a piece of fiction in prose of variable length, which shocks or even frightens the reader, or perhaps induces a feeling of repulsion or loathing" It creates an eerie and frightening atmosphere. Horror is frequently supernatural, though it can be non-supernatural. Often the central menace of a work of horror fiction can be interpreted as a metaphor for the larger fears of a society. One of the defining traits of the genre of horror is that it provokes a response, emotional, psychological or physical, within readers that causes them to react with fear.

1. Haunted House.
Image result for HORROR

In a small town in Perak we moved to a rundown house that my parents thought they could repair. I was 4 years old and thought the house was haunted. After 3 or 4 months my parents gave up and we moved to the other side of town. When I was 6 or 7 I started walking to the pool and playground field with friends but always avoided Jts Street. It actually caused fear being on that street.

When I was 9 walked past the still rundown house but in the other side of the street. When in almost in front a little kid about 3 or 4 walks out the front door. He looked exactly like me at that age, same hair cut and everything. He just sat on the edge of the porch with an erie missing tooth grin, big eyes and stared at me. I was terrified and walked home in extreme fear. I kept telling mom the story and she finally said she will call Uncle Muthu and Mrs. Lily who live near the rundown house. They told us the house is vacant and nobody has lived there since we had a few years before.

2. Apartment
Image result for HORROR

This one happened few years back when were residing in an apartment. We are located in Genting Highland. So every weekend my friend, my brother and I will go out for a movie night show. It was just an another day. Its an apartment have 10 houses, the ground floor is for parking and we were at first floor. That night we forgot the main gate key, so had to jump off the wall to get the key (so that we can park the car inside). As I was driving the car I was lazy to get out and jump off the wall so my brother and friend were having argument about who is going to get the key . Finally my friend said he will get it and my brother was in call. So he went up and its been 5 minutes he didn’t
get back.

I tried calling , but he left the mobile in the car, My brother has walked nearly 500 meter while he was talking in call. So I dusted up my butt and got in. I thought he would not have spotted the key. I entered in and got the key which was hanging right at the hall, Then spotted my friend. He was standing in a little passage like area (Where dining table located) and looking towards kitchen (which have attached balcony). I sneaked behind him and thought what was he doing? Might be texting someone or busy with mobile?

I went near him and he have got goosebumps allover , I can see it on his hand, He was dumb struck and sweating like anything. I touched him and shooked then asked what has happened. He did not utter anything but still looking at the corner of the kitchen and raised his hand pointing there. I was damn scared its around 1.30AM. Then he said, I saw something in black colour was sitting at this corner and just whiz passed in to balcony.

I did not thought he must be hallucinating something cos at that moment what he told seem really trustworthy. Then I gave him water and we both walked down back. From that day we never stayed in that appartment alone.

3. My Bed In Infinity
Image result for HORROR

This moment is by far the most scared I have ever been in my life. I awake from some sort of dream and my room is pitch black, I cannot see anything past the sides of my bed (my room is never completely dark.) Also I have a condition with my eyes where I see static interference over most things, especially at night, but this time everything is pure black. I know I am in my room but I feel completely lost. I cannot sense my walls, ceiling, floor or anything. It is a small room, my bed is 2ft away from the wall on my right and 4ft away from my wardrobe on the left. It is like I am surrounded by nothingness, in space all by myself. I keep telling myself I am being stupid but my brain is convinced I am not in my room. My heart is ripping through my chest and all i can hear is thumping. So I close my eyes and try to sleep. In my dream I am sitting in the sky miles above some weird unruined Mayan city which is huge and almost endless beneath me. I wake and I am aware of still being suspended miles in the air, I even think I can see the city beneath me slightly. I look down to my carpet but I see nothing, I lean from the bed so my face would literally be 2″ from the carpet but nothing, I cannot even sense it. I am too scared to leave my bed to try and stand.

I reach for my clock which has a really bright light and the light turns on and fades instantly over 15 seconds and my whole room lights up and my heart returns to a normal level. I fall asleep for 2 seconds and have the same vision again and wake feeling lost. Again I use my clock and calm down. I decide now I am not going to sleep until the sun starts to come up and gives some light.
However as soon as the light from my clock fades, it is like everything has disappeared and I have the feeling of endless space again and my heart thunders. I think to myself “you just saw the walls of your room 2 seconds ago, pull yourself together” but my brain is CONVINCED that everything has vanished. So I reach for my clock and keep it in my hands constantly pressing the light button over and over. I made it to morning and did get some sleep. This is the only time this has happened and luckily nothing like it has ever happened again.

Based on the discussion above, in our life there have many horror story that we will cannot forget. That is because we as a race have a curiosity towards the forbidden things in life.
We get this curiosity sated by watching horror-movies or reading horror-texts; through
them we test our fears and explore the darkest recesses of our minds. Besides, as a muslim we have our own faith which we need to believe with the only one Allah.

PARENTING

Parenting
By group 4;
Image result for parent

Good parenting helps foster empathy, honesty, kindness, coorperation and cheerfulness. It also promotes intellectual curiosity, motivation and desire to achieve. It helps protect children from developing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, anti-social behavior and alcohol and drug abuse. "Parenting is one of the most researched areas in the entire field of social science" says Steinberg. Too many parents base their actions on gut  reactions. But some parents have better instincts than others. Children should never be hit, not even a slap on toddler's bottom.

Many people use the same tactics their own parents used and a lot of times that meant using really harsh discipline. A parents relationship with his or her child will be reflected in the child's actions including child behavior problems. Which parents do not love their children? After all, what is the goal when you're dealing with children? There is the ways of good parenting.

1. Make Time For Kids.
Image result for parent

It's often difficult for parents and kids to get together for a family meal, let alone spend quality time together. But, there is probably nothing kids would like more. For example, get up 10 minutes earlier in the morning, eat breakfast with your child or leave the dishes in the sink and take a walk after dinner. Kids who aren't getting the attention they want from their parents often act out or misbehave because they're sure to be noticed that way.

Many parents find it rewarding to schedule together time with their kids. Create a " special night" each week to be together and let your kids help decide how to spend the time. Look for other ways to connect, put a note or something special in your kid's lunchbox. Adolescents seem to need less undivided attention from their parents than younger kids. Because there are fewer windows of opportunity for parents and teens to get together, parents should do their best to be available when their teen does express a desire to talk or participate in family activities. Attending concerts, games and other events with teen communications caring and lets you get to know more about your child and his or her friends in important ways.

Don't feel guilty if you're a working parent. It is the many little things you do such as making popcorn, playing cards, window shopping than that kids will remember.

2. Loving Parents
Image result for parent

As a parents we need to show them our love. This is no such thing as loving our child too much. Loving them are cannot spoiling them. Only what you choose to do or give them in the name of love such a things like material indulgence, low expectations and over protection. When these things are given in place of real love, that's when you will have a spoiling child.

Loving our child can be as simple as giving them hugs, spending time with them and listening to their issues seriously. Showing these acts of love can trigger the release of feel good hormones such as oxytocin, opiods and prolactin. These neurochemicals can bring us a deep sence of calm, emotional warmth and contentment, from these the child will develop resilience and not to mention a closer relationship with us.

3. Positive Parenting
Image result for parent

Babies are born with around 100bilion cells (neurons) with relatively little connections. These connections create our thoughts, drive our actions, shape our personalities and basically determine who we are. They are created, strengthened and "sculpted" through experiences positive experiences themselves and offer them to others. Give your child negatives experiences. They won't have the kind of development necessary for them to thrive. Sing that silly song. Have a tickle marathon, go to the park. Laugh with your child. Ride through an emotional tantrum. Solve a problem together with a positive attitude.

Not only do these positive experiences create good connections in your child's brain, but they also from the memories of you that your child carries for live. When it comes to discipline, it seems hard to remain positive. But it is possible to practise Positive Discipline and avoid punitive measures. Being a good parents means you need to teach your child the moral in what is right and what is wrong. Setting limits and being consistent are the keys to good discipline. Be kind and firm when enforcing those rules. Focus on the reason behind the child's behavior. And make it and opportunity to learn for the future, rather than to punish for the past.

Based on the discussions above, I can conclude that parents play an important role in the development of the character of the children. Parents need to realise their responsibility to educate children into a noble person. Each family member should equip themselves with parenting knowledge. This is important because the formation of the character of children should start with family itself. Parents will be the role model for children. Strictly speaking, the household is a fire tile garden to produce noble and virtuous people. If you have a good relationship and you're really in tune with your child, that's what really matters. Then none of this will be an issue. Thank you & Assalamualaikum!
